About Us

Veggie Patch Farm is a small-acreage family-business farm located just a short drive from Marshville. We developed real local roots, and support from the community encouraged us to join with local farmers, vendors, business people and residents to jion our local farmer's market during the growing season.

Jeff and I have been farming for the last ten years. This year we expanded from two acres to twelve acres! This was a very large undertaking for our family run business. We also opened our road side stand across from Rock Rest Elementary school on White Store Rd.

Our Practices

We want to share with you our farming practices. On our farm we do not use any pestacides. Jeff and I do not want to eat it nor do we want our customers to consume it. We still till the land the way our families have done for generations. plants are still set out by hand and weeds are pulled by hand! This can be a challenge at times because the weeds can have stalks that are three inches wide and reach to china! We use composed manure, epsom salt and organic fertilizer. Veggie Patch Farm has become a local center for a wide variety of produce, ranging from fruit and vegetables and home-made jams and salsas.
